Jale Beach

A compact turquoise bay of beach clubs and summer energy — loudest by day, surprisingly swimmable at dawn.

Beach

Know before you go

Jale packs a lot into a small bay: beach clubs with daybeds and DJs, camping under the olives, kayak and pedalo rentals, and water so clear and calm it's hard to leave. It draws the youngest crowd on the coast — Albanian students made it famous, and the secret travelled.

Come for the energy, or come at 8 a.m. when the bay is glass-flat and you'll have it almost to yourself.

Where to stay

Sleeping at Jale Beach

Beach club rooms & bungalows

Several clubs rent rooms and bungalows steps from the sand — fall out of bed and onto a daybed.

Campsites under the olives

Organised camping behind the beach is the classic budget Jale experience.

Vuno village above

The stone village of Vuno on the main road keeps guesthouses ten minutes from the bay, with quiet nights.

Where to eat

Eating well here

Club restaurants

The beach clubs run full kitchens — seafood, grills and cocktails from breakfast to late.

Casual beach grills

Simpler grills at the back of the beach do fast, cheap souvlaki-style plates.

Vuno tavernas

For a slower village dinner, head up to Vuno's terraces.

Things to do

Don’t leave without

Kayak to Gjipe

Rent a kayak and paddle north to Gjipe's canyon beach — one of the Riviera's great mini-adventures.

Daybed day

Pick a club, claim a daybed, and let the day dissolve into swims and DJ sets.

Dawn swim

Before the music starts, the bay is silent and mirror-calm — the best swim on the coast.
