Choose Ksamil if…

You want soft sand and shallow, turquoise water right outside the door, and you're happy for that to be most of the holiday. Butrint and the Blue Eye are easy day trips.

Choose Himarë if…

You want variety. From Himarë, six beaches are within half an hour, boats leave the harbour for hidden coves, and the town has life all year.

Or do both

They're about 1h30 apart by car. Many people spend a few nights in each — Himarë first, then south to Ksamil.
